Winter is the optimum time to see whales on their annual pilgrimage
north in search of warmer currents to birth their young. You are
bound to witness these amazing creatures in all their glory
dominating the deep blue. The whales come within metres of the
coastline and can be seen rising majestically from the sea
frolicking and playing in a display of remarkable strength and size
as they tail flap, breach and torso slap, sometimes lifting their
entire body from the water.
Don't under estimate the power of nature and watching a whale in
full breach will be a most breathtaking experience.
During summer the clear pristine waters of Red Bluff provide a
perfect 'stop over' for the whales on their annual southern
migration to Antarctica. |
