Quobba Station is
80km north west of Carnarvon, Western Australia with 80km of harsh,
unpredictable and spectacular coastline (Indian Ocean) as its
western boundary and Lake McLeod as its eastern boundary. 60km from
the Quobba homestead is the picturesque Red Bluff.
The Meecham's have
been on Quobba Station for 32 years, with Tim, Sara and family here
for the last 14 years. The station runs around 10000 damaras (South
African meat sheep). Visitors began coming to Quobba to fish from
the many challenging rock platforms over 50 years ago. Accommodation
development has been established around the Quobba homestead and Red
Bluff with luxury eco safari tents being built in 2004. |
